Assuming that I don't watch any new movies between now and Monday (which is no sure assumption), I will have achieved a personal best this summer with 140 movies viewed in the 106 days of my summer vacation, putting me well on may way to my goal of average four movies a week this year (maybe even already achieving that...but that's a topic for another time. The breakdown:
- Netflix mail service: 68.
- Netflix online viewing: 41
- Other online viewing: 10
- Rented from Hastings: 9
- Seen in theaters: 12
Sure, sure. Make your "no life" jokes, but movies are my one and only hobby. Of course I dedicate time to them. My top five suggestions for you to watch: The Dark Knight  Far and away the best movie to come to theaters this summer. Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day  The best movie you may have heard of but never got around to watching. Oldboy  You'll laugh. You'll cry. You'll see a man try and rape a teenage girl while she's peeing. It seems as though it won't be long before Asia overtakes America in the realm of compelling movie making. Grindhouse  The double feature event of your life. Two great directors. Two fabulous casts. One night of uncontrollable laughter and vomiting. You Can't Take It With You  A James Stewart classic that reminds you that American movies used to have more substance and less special effects. Heartwarming and humorous.

Oldboy is fucking legendary. Best film of the vengeance trilogy. 
I disagree, Lady Vengence was my fav.
Thought provoking as Lady Vengance was, particularly the ending, Oldboy excelled in that it had a more compelling protagonist and a infinitely creepier antagonist. It also had the advantage of substantial plot twists which Lady Vengence came up short on in my opinion. Except for the very end with the hypnosis, I think Oldboy was executed flawlessly. *Note: number of movies updated on my last day before the summer ends.
Fair enough ,but I enjoyed Lady Vengence more than I enjoyed Oldboy, and that is why I watch movies, to enjoy them.
